Nowadays, we can find many media in our lives. Printing and electronic media are immediately changed very quickly and can influence our daily live. There are many different kinds of media which influence common people, like news paper, television, radio, etc. But, as time goes by, electronic media are become more popular and use full. One of electronic media that have many impacts in our lives is Internet. Almost everyone need internet to know the newest information and communicate with others. Internet has changed the world in many aspects and absolutely can change our lives. There are three impacts of internet as electronic media in our lives. First, Internet can make us know and get information quickly, internet also can change our life style, and the third internet can make us communicate easily.

Nowadays there are many natural disasters that happen in Indonesia, like tsunami, big floods, earth quake, volcano eruption, etc. All people have to know information quickly to do something for the victims or just follow the progress of the newest news. This advantage is very use full for us because if we can get the information quickly we also can do everything faster. After that, from this modern way, we can also find anything we want to know. For example, we want to get an information about ‘ University in Australia ‘, we just open Google, Yahoo, etc and type what information that we want to know, and the information will appear very quick.
As time goes by, internet also can change our life style. For example, our shopping hobby, now we can do it from internet by ‘Shopping Online‘. Many people choose this way, because it’s simple and quick. They won’t go out from their house or office and just do everything in front of their computer. Not only shopping habits, but also the fashion in the world has changed because of internet. All people can know the update of newest fashion from another country by internet. Another example, the teaching way has already changed. Our teacher and lecturer just write their teaching materials and send it by e-mail. They don’t need to meet each other and the student also can find their material from internet. But, because of that the interaction and relation between teacher and student not so close and impressed individual.
Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Yahoo Messenger; there are many example of features on the internet that are very popular. They can make us communicate easily and also make a relation with many people from another country. When there are many natural disaster happen in Indonesia, a whole world send their sympathy and empathy by internet. Like in twitter, they make a group that consist of people who want to say something for natural disaster that happen in Indonesia, the name of that group is “Pray for Indonesia”, Not only common people who write on this forum but also artists, singers, actors, actress, important officials and many famous people. It shows that our easy way to get communication help us to feel closer with all people around the world, although we don’t meet or never meet but we can know each other.
